Amanda Roy, Associate at Spooner & Associates, P.C., assists her clients with issues involving family and juvenile law.

Amanda Roy joined Spooner & Associates, P.C. in the Summer of 2019 as a law clerk and is currently an associate with the firm. She has assisted clients with issues involving family and juvenile law since 2014. Upon finding a passion for helping families in times of need, she pursued law school with the specific intent of practicing family law. Above all, Amanda knows that a client’s case impacts the most personal and fundamental aspects of their life. She approaches every case with the goal of helping clients reach their desired resolution in a manner that best suits each client’s needs.
Amanda Roy graduated cum laude from the University of North Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and minors in Political Science and Spanish and she is a magna cum laude graduate from Georgia State University College of Law. Amanda gained valuable experiences such as interning with the Honorable Alison Toller of Hall County Juvenile Court, mediating cases in Fulton County Landlord-Tenant Court, and researching children’s rights with Professor Jonathan Todres. Since 2015, she has also been a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) where she has advocated in court for the best interests of abused and neglected children.
In her free time, Amanda enjoys spending time in the mountains, hiking with her Australian Shepherd, and cooking.
